I'm not a member of the Club. Am I allowed to come and shoot?

We operate the range as a public facility and welcome ALL shooters who have a positive attitude towards safety and are willing to follow the range rules.

We charge non-members a standard fee as a 'Day Member'; please refer to the Membership page for more information on what is included as a Day Member.

What are your hours of operation?

Except for Law Enforcement days, we are currently open 7-days per week.

Summer Hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday (9am - 6pm) and Monday through Thursday (10am - 6pm). Our hours will vary with the length of daylight hours and we will always post open days and hour on the home page of the CCGC web site.

When will full year memberships become available?

The selling of yearly memberships is being considered on an ongoing basis. Lacking a weekly, monthly or yearly membership, various punch cards intended to reduce the overall cost of visiting the range are available. Ask about these on your range visit.

What will the price of a full year membership be?

If offered, full year memberships would be priced similar to other national shooting ranges; we are looking beyond the Portland Metro area for guidance. We will ALWAYS operate the range as a public facility where NO yearly memberships are required.

Are shotguns allowed?

We don't have trap, skeet or sporting clays, but you are allowed to shoot shotguns into our 50 yard Rimfire berm. This gives you a feel for and allows you to practice with the firearm in a self defensive manner. Shot size is limited to #7 and smaller. Slugs, sabots and shot sized larger than #7 are not allowed.

Can I shoot my own ammunition or must I buy yours?
We encourage you to bring your own factory fresh or reloaded ammunition. We do sell ammunition (and targets) primarily for range use.

If however you wish to rent our firearms you are required to purchase our ammunition and shoot only that through our rentals. There is no exception to this rule.

What is the largest firearm are allowed?

All calibers up to 50 BMG are allowed. We do however place limits on the types of bullets allowed on the range such as no tracers or incindiary, armor piercing, bird bombs, etc.

Pistols based on the AR-15 lower receiver, and any other handguns chambered in traditional centerfire rifle calibers with no stocks are not allowed on the range. They are often too inaccurate to shoot on the longer Big Bore ranges and the report is too great for use on the Pistol and Rimfire ranges. What classes are provided?

We are certified by the NRA to teach a broad range of classes but currently lack a permanent facility in which to conduct training. Therefore, we are doing one-on-one training. Please contact us with your request.

Can law enforcement access the range?

We work with local, regional and federal law enforcement agencies as well as private firms who need private range time for training or qualification opportunities. Agencies find that we are very easy to work with and provide services sometimes not offered by other ranges.

Is Clark County Gun Club, Inc. part of Clark Rifles, Inc?

No. Clark County Gun Club, Inc. (CCGC) is a totally separate operation from Clark Rifles. CCGC does consult with Clark Rifles and other area ranges to ensure we have similar Standard Operating Procedures. This helps reduce confusion when visiting local ranges.

I've never been to a managed range before. What do I do?

The first visit to a range can be intimidating. We meet new visitors each week who have until then never been on a range. Our team is here to focus on safety and to ensure that you have a good experience. We'll introduce you to the facility and help you learn the ropes. Our regular shooters are very friendly and welcome new shooters with open arms. Shooting at English Pit almost becomes a family affair.
