This revolver, patterned after the 1873 Colt Peacemaker and manufactured under license from Colt, qualifies for Cowboy Action shooting but with the proper loads, can be used to hunt big game up to and including black bear.
The mild recoil produced by Cowboy Action loads provide hours of shooting fun with little fatigue or wear-and-tear on steel targets. Standard or full power loads can be used with this firearm for self defense or hunting and will produce a much heavier recoil.
